We play for all kinds of events, and for audiences of all ages. Family ceilidhs, school fundraisers, museum openings, house concerts, weddings, and family parties are all great events for Slip the Jig to bring the tunes. We adapt our performance depending on the event to fit the venue, occasion, and audience. We’re always keen to adapt what we do to make it as inclusive as possible so let us know what you’re hoping for, and we’ll try to make it work!

- If doing a ceilidh, we can provide our own PA, suitable for village hall style events. It is PAT tested and we have insurance through The Musician’s Union.
- We have our own caller for ceilidhs, but are also happy to work with other callers.
- For concerts, we have the option of a duo, trio, or quartet. For ceilidhs we are normally a four-piece band.
- If you’ve never organised a ceilidh before, but would like to, we can talk through how it will best work.
- We can perform for anything from 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the occasion. We can play for listening and for dancing and love doing a bit of both!
- We can play indoors or outdoors, but will need to be under cover if it’s raining.
- Our fee depends on factors like time and duration of event, type of event, and travel. We have a reduced fee for fundraising and community events. Let us know what you’re planning, and your budget, and we’ll see if we can make it work!
